A new day has come!

Its been awhile since I wrote something.  Been down in the dumps about not having a job doing what I love.  Thats life right?  We have to do what we have to do. Especially when bills need to be paid and family needs to eat.   But I got some good news.  I have accepted a new job doing what I like and have opportunites to show how creative I am.

Im still doing my freelance work but as we all know having a steady paycheck is better.  I look forward to blogging more and staying up with the new web trends.

Learning

Im learning more and more on my own.  I’m starting to get my Ning site together….  www.thisismyjob.ning.com   In my opinion its a bit easier to setup than a Joomla! site. 

Lets seee what else can I blog about.  Oh…Im really starting to dig this social media.  At first twitter wasnt my thing.  But now I got check it everyday and post atleast something small.  Im even getting my clients into it.  Twitter isnt all that fancy but I do get to make my own custom backgrounds…so thats cool.  Ive noticed my traffic to my site has increase …and I wasnt even trying.

today i attended the Second Annual Interactive Festival. it was a great experience and i met some great people. this was my first time going to something like this in STL. i was lucky enough to go to Photoshop World last year and had that same rush….ya know when you learn something and you cant wait to go back to your computer and go to all the sites they told you about. yeahhh that feeling.

i love being a web designer. whether im doing it on freelance or on a full time, part time job. i love to create, i love to learn new trends. the next company that hires me will be getting all of that… a person who just wants to create, design and work hard.
